THE DREAM SERIES: Dream Big, Imagine


When I was a child, I'd pretend to be a teacher with my soft toys or I'd pretend to be a hairdresser with my Pocahontas doll. My Pocahontas doll had extra-long hair, I remember as a kid thinking it was time for her to have an updated look. So, I got scissors and gave her a lob (long bob), those days were so fun! I remember my school teacher telling us to write down what we wanted to be when we were older, I actually wanted to be a hairdresser. Children love to imagine, especially when playing games but the older we get the less we tend to dream. The less risks we take, we are not as naïve and we don't have as much audacity.

It's important to dream as a grown up too, and not just dream but to dream big. One of my fav scriptures in the bible is, (Ephesians 3:20) "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us". If only we ask and imagine, God is able to do it. Vision boards are a great way of imagining your future, as well as spending some quiet time in the day and envisioning yourself doing what you are believing God for. Just like pretending to be a hairdresser with my doll, I had a clear vision of who I wanted to be. It's really important to know where you want to go in life, having a clear vision for the dreams in your heart is vital. Also writing down your vision is vital, which I will talk about in the next dream series post. In the dream series, I will talk you through a step by step guide on how you can dream about your future and how to walk towards it.
